India Calling
In the first week of October, I head to India to begin my latest adventure! I’ve been planning my itinerary non-stop and I am really excited to meet my first group this month as part of Taylor Made Travels. There is so much I am looking forward to but first is the feeling of walking through immigration and coming airside in Delhi in the early morning light. I never land at night as it’s too disorienting and I love that early morning light after a night flight.
Something else I can’t wait for are Indian breakfasts! I absolutely love an Indian breakfast and tend to eat Indian food wherever I can; Idli and South Indian dosas are my favourite.
In Delhi, We stay in a brilliant hotel in Janpath (just off Connaught Place) which is a great location to head straight out, stretch your legs and get into the hub of Delhi life; plus getting out into natural sunlight is the BEST way to shake off the jet lag.
Once I’m settled, I can start to think about the many fascinating places we’ll be experiencing; from the Craft Museum in Delhi to the morning rickshaw ride of Jaipur at dawn, seeing the vibrant colours of the flower market, shopping at one of the many bazar stores and visiting the Anouki Museum near the Amber Fort to see so many beautiful sights. Indian is an incredible country and I can’t wait to show you more via Instagram and my journal. I’ll be sure to take lots of photos and videos as we’re exploring.
Let me know if there’s anything you’re particularly interested in seeing? I can plan some IG lives to show you certain places and chat with you, my guests, and the artisans we’ll meet along the way!
