An Update From Lisa Taylor
2023 has been an eventful year; I went away in January to reset and returned home with a really clear vision for the next chapter of the LT concept. I love where we have taken the brand on this nine year journey; curating our collections and building a loyal community online, in Deal and also at our pop-up events across the UK.
What I've realised this year, is that you cannot stand still in this industry. It would never be enough for me to just keep re-inventing the next dress, top or accessory. My joy comes from supporting people on their own creative and holistic journeys and that's not just about dressing them.
This autumn, I am launching Taylor Made Travels, which has organically grown out of your requests to curate bespoke adventures and travel itineraries. I thought, wouldn't it be amazing to take people on small boutique tours of all my favourite places, opening my little black book of contacts and sharing some great uncovered places. So far, we are sold out for October but we will be planning winter 2024 very soon, so please message if you're interested.
My love affair with products will never be over, but moving forward, we will be offering a smaller selection which feels SO right for the brand. We all need to shop less and make better choices; appreciating and wearing our clothes for longer without obsessing about buying each season.
After the summer months, we left our lovely shared store space in Deal, and in now we're excited to launch our new website, which will feature our new scarf collection, hotly followed by our signature recycled coats and jackets.
I will be documenting my journey as I travel via Instagram and our blog, and we would love to hear all your suggestions and ideas of places you might like to journey to in India. Life is about experiencing new things, and travel opens up a world of creativity for me. It’s always been my dream to have winter in the sun and then come back and have summer on the beach in Deal, and now it's becoming a reality.
Stay well, enjoy the rest of your summer and don’t forget to find time to dream…
